Say your elevator pitch to yourself right now. Do you talk about yourself or your product or service? Because if that’s what you’re talking about, then it’s time to re-think your pitch. It’s not working. And it’s never going to work.
Do you think that all the people you meet each day and at networking meetings are there to hear about you or your product or service?
Seriously? I’ll tell you they’re not. And you certainly don’t want to sound like the old school insurance salesperson. You know the type. The one that runs around at parties, asking you if your family will be OK if you bite the dust.
People only want to know how you can help them. That’s why your elevator pitch or introduction should talk more about them, than you. Excite them on how you can help them meet their needs, wishes or wants and they’ll want to know more. You do that and success will follow.
Make Yourself Stand Out With a Professionally-Written Message.
Of course, if you can’t write your own introduction or pitch message, get a professional to do it for you. It’s far better to spend your time doing what you do best and let the professionals make you sound the best.
A professionally-written message will make you stand out from the crowd and get potential clients to be curious about you and what you offer. And once you’ve got them curious, they’ll want to know more about you and what you can do for them.
Looking forward to your continued success…
